Marketing & Sales 

The Marketing & Sales family is a strategic link to create Solvay’s value in two ways. 

Upstream, to guide the Group in its choice of developing very specific growth market segments, translating customers’ needs and knowing how to develop a partnership approach to anticipate and meet future needs, to transmit information to R&D and production, and elaborate new concepts. 
 
 
Downstream, promoting the Group’s assets to customers, safeguarding market share with profitability in mind, being present in the field, managing key multinational accounts - essential components in our customer portfolio.

Our main positions:
 
If you are interested in fields such as: 

  • studies and development of products and markets,
  • competition strategy,
  • sales force management,
  • application of a sales policy,
  • negotiation, management and development of customer/product portfolios,
  • export, etc.
  

Product Manager


Your missions:  

  • Optimize the product portfolio and launch new products.
     
  • Work closely with buyers to optimize the procurement of raw materials.
     
  • Contribute to the development and industrialization of new production technologies.
     
  • Manage the analysis of the competitiveness of the product portfolio.

Your academic background:

Engineering school or university education combined with an MBA.
Business School.
   

 

Account Executive


Your missions:  

  • Grow the business of the market by maintaining and cultivating current and new business at a mixture of key account, regional and potential customers.
     
  • Be responsible for all customer-facing aspects of maintaining and developing new business at your customer base.
     
  • In addition to pricing & customer relationship management, you are relied upon for market intelligence, forecasting, and coordinating R&D projects.
     
  • Develop relationships at all levels in customer organizations and driving continuous improvement at Solvay with respect to the organization delivering an even higher level of service to our customer base.

Your academic background:

BS Degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or Marketing preferred) with Sales & marketing experience.

 

Commercial engineer


Your missions:  

  • You establish a commercial relationship with yours clients and guarantee your entity’s products/services’ offer.
     
  • Your constantly improve your clients’ knowledge, their needs, and establish a watch on competitors, the market’s trends.
     

Your academic background:

Technical and/or commercial education, junior or experienced..

 

Technical & commercial Manager


Your missions:  

  • You assist clients to set up Solvay’s products or technical solutions.
     
  • You rationalize, assess and communicate Solvay’s offer on the markets’ segments you are in charge of.
     
  • You take part in the tools development for the sales teams (promotion supports, training…).
     

Your academic background:

Double education in both technical & commercial fields.

 

Sales Manager


Your missions:  

  • You establish a commercial relationship with yours clients and create long term partnership.
     
  • You plan and direct your actions to realise the defined objectives as to sales / prizes / payoff volumes.
     
  • You take part in the negotiations with your clients.
     
  • You know the market and competitors’ evolutions in order to develop strategies matching clients’ needs.
     
  • You take part in operational marketing plans and validate them.
     
  • You lead your sales team.

Your academic background:

Business school /Engineering school combined with an MBA.
