R&D is at the heart of the Solvay's growth strategy.

Over 1,700 people are currently carrying out innovative research at our labs in Brazil, China, France, and the United States.

Applications Engineer

Your missions:

You are in charge of a research project on products or processes.
You find innovative, cost-effective solutions while respecting deadlines.
You work on a project team: you may coordinate the work of technicians or supervise off-site co-workers (e.g. Ph.D. students, subcontracted equipment providers).
You manage certain cross-departmental activities of your entity (such as safety, quality, science monitoring and lab investment).

Your academic background:

Engineering school or university degree in chemistry and thesis.

Process Development Engineer in R&D

Your missions:

You study the steps of a process while keeping a holistic view of it.
You propose new technologies to test in order to increase the competitiveness of the process.
You use experiments or simulation to study the extrapolation of a facility, and you take part in its industrial start-up.

Your academic background:

Engineering school and thesis.

Analysis Engineer

Your missions:

You research and define which analysis method is appropriate for each request, and you determine the preparation procedures and conditions of samples. .
You plan, carry out and reproduce analyses with a team of technicians.
You update his/her knowledge via bibliographical research.

Your academic background:

Engineering school or university degree in chemistry and thesis.

Tech-Service Engineer

Your missions:

You provide technical assistance to customers, analyse and resolve their technical problems.
You help develop existing products and promote new products.
You identify new areas for development in conjunction with the marketing and business teams.
You establish and maintain close working relationships with customers, particularly with key accounts.
You support and train the sales teams.
