Corporate citizenship

Taking our responsibilities, acting with our stakeholders.

As an industrial company, we value stakeholder dialogue as a key to our long-term business success.

Corporate citizenship is an inherent part of Solvay’s sustainable development strategy.

the Group intends to meet its corporate social responsibilities through the implementation of these principles:

  • Equal opportunities in the context of the workplace and the absence of any discrimination (age, race, sex, skin color, religion, political opinion, nationality, sexual orientation, social origins, affiliation with a trade union)
  • Promotion of diversity as an ethical step forward and a real source of development at an individual level. Cultural diversity is especially important as well as the support given to the employability of disabled people.
  • Freedom to choose a job and prohibiting child labor or forced labor. Concerning the minimum age of recruiting, the Group respects, at the minimum, the provisions of the Convention of the International Labour Organization or the legal existing requirements when they are stricter.
  • Social dialogue with employees and employees representatives in the framework of the freedom of association, the protection of the right of organization and the collective bargaining.
