Climate change is one of the main challenges faced by industries, science, politics and society.
We need to curb further increases in greenhouse gas emissions and make efficient use of available resources.

Solvay is committed to:

• reducing greenhouse gases emissions (in CO₂ equivalent), both direct and indirect (through energy and raw materials purchases), associated with its manufacturing operations and buildings by 20% between by 2020 with a 2006 baseline
• reducing its total energy consumption - reducing the ecological impact of the transport of finished products
• reducing the overall energy intensity of the company car fleet
