Global Harmonized System 

The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, a global initiative taken by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

As a further contribution to international chemical safety, Solvay supports the goal of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS)  for the classification and labelling of chemicals.

GHS is a common and consistent approach to define and classify hazardous chemicals, including substances, products, mixtures, preparations, and communicating hazard information on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). It  provides an internationally agreed upon system of hazard classification and labelling.
