Environmental follow-up
Solvay monitors emissions at all production sites, using a central single standardized system to manage data regarding environmental emissions from all production sites, consolidating data and making inter-site comparisons.
Solvay enviromnental reporting channels

Solvay’s environmental performance is assessed and reported via a variety of channels:
- Pollutant Emission Register and TRI
Data are used to feed the public emission registers organized by authorities in the US and Europe.
- Product risk assessments
Data are used to establish product risk assessment.
- Ecoprofiles and lifecycle assessment
Data are used to establish environmental profiles and lifecycle assessment (cradle to grave) of Solvay’s products.
- Product portfolio eco-efficiency analysis
Data are used to assess Solvay’s product portfolio (Sustainable Portfolio Management analysis).
- Follow-up of objectives
Data allow to follow-up emission reduction objectives and compliance with Group’s sustainability commitments.
- Internal benchmarking
Data are used to compare similar plants in different locations.
- Environmental reporting
Data are eported to stakeholders about the Group’s progress and performance on environmental releases.
