Sustainability indicators progress report 2011

The progress report provides an overview of the Group’s management and performance along a wide range of quantitative indicators, that ultimately support the extra-financial performance of Solvay.
The indicators and approaches presented clearly demonstrate strong convergences between the strategies of Solvay Chemicals & Plastics Sectors and Rhodia Sector, since the acquisition of Rhodia in September 2011.
“Sustainability indicators progress report 2011” is one of the most extensive report published by chemical companies on a yearly basis and clearly demonstrates that Solvay embraces non-financial performance in the wide sense.

Solvay, Best Belgian Sustainability Report

Solvay received, the award for Best Belgian Sustainability Report (Edition 2011), as finalist after Delhaize, for its Sustainability Report 2008-2012 and Sustainability indicators 2010, in the category of medium and large companies.

Organized by the Institut des Réviseurs d’Entreprises, KAURI, the Belgian multi-actor learning network and knowledge centre on Corporate Responsibility, and Business & Society Belgium, the Solvay report has been submitted to the jury, which highlighted the matrix of materiality of the Group, the clarity of its reporting’s policy, the key performance indicators, the clarity objective for 2012 & 2020, and external verification by third parties.
