"We are constantly working to build trust with the local population living and working near our Spinetta Marengo (Italy) site. This is the secret of our good integration into the local community. We will be further strengthening these relations through a Local Advisory Board (LAB).

Established in July 2014, this LAB will make these exchanges smoother and more intense. On the model of our communication platforms directed at political and institutional bodies it brings together in a forum very wide range of representatives of our residents and local stakeholders:  opinion leaders from the economic and social worlds, suppliers, and cultural organizations.

The committee constituted today has some thirty participants. We have opted to meet four times a year outside working hours, so as to encourage the participation of all members. Transparency is our watchword: all topics can be addressed and the report will be published on the Solvay Spinetta Marengo website.

This idea is in this way to improve our responsiveness in handling issues raised by our neighbours and in considering their suggestions. It will also enable us to anticipate the long-term issues facing these communities. The first session took place on 8 July 2014."

"Transparency and dialogue forge trust in our relations with our neighbors."
