The Solvay Marketing and Sales function is building the bridge between the organisation and its markets and partners. The aim is to create, deliver and capture value by anticipating markets evolution, understanding of customer needs and optimizing commercial performances.


This is realized, more specifically for:

  • Marketing: by guiding the Solvay group in developing specific growth markets, translating customers’ needs, knowing how to anticipate and meet future requirements and by understanding value drivers and competitive positioning along the value chain
  • Sales: by developing a tactical commercial plan, managing customer relationships and satisfaction, optimizing product portfolio, improving pricing, sales force and distribution performance management

Marketing

Operational Marketing Manager

Your missions: 

  • You contribute to the development of the Global Market Strategic Plan and are in charge of its deployment at a Regional level 
  • You manage the  area/regional product portfolio in accordance with global product portfolio strategy
  • You develop appropriate market plans and implement its 4Ps strategy to support business development

Your academic background:

  • Marketing education graduate background with 2 to 3 years’ experience in a marketing role

New Market Development Manager

Your missions: 

  • You identify game changing opportunities leveraging technology competencies and shape new customer based innovation projects to fuel profitable growth
  • You implement new product innovation strategy that drives revenue and  profit margin growth
  • You manage new product launches  in close cooperation with Operational Marketing Manager

Your academic background:
  • Business or Technical with strong  marketing education background with 5 to 10 years’ experience in Front-End Innovation

Global Market Manager

Your missions: 

  • Based on your in-depth market understanding, you develop, manage and implement the Market strategy globally, holding contribution margin responsibility
  • You manage and drive alignment between assets portfolio and market strategy
  • You lead the global pricing strategy  for your assigned market(s), working closely with Product Line manager


Your academic background:

  • Business or Management graduate background with a 5 to 10 years’ Marketing management experience

Strategic Marketing Manager

Your missions: 

  • You work closely with Business Units managers to define market-driven strategy and Go to Market models
  • You develop and implement strategies for new sub-segments and foster partnerships with strategic market players
  • You support GBU portfolio strategy development under the leadership of the Strategic Marketing Director
 
Your academic background:
  • Business or Marketing Management graduate background with a 10 to 15 years’ Marketing management experience

Sales

Commercial Manager

Your missions:
  • You develop, deploy and realize the Commercial plan for the relevant territory 
  • You manage commercial activities in order to achieve results in terms of volume and margin. 
  • You contribute to the implementation of the market Strategic Plan at Region / Market Level 
  • You coordinate the regional market business opportunities, and marketing activities to support business growth and achieve Strategic Plan Targets 
  • You manage Account Managers team, allocate resources, identify and develop talents, conduct performance reviews, and propose Development and Succession planning
  • You define a strategy concerning the relations with business partners, identify, develop and manage partnerships

Your academic background:
  • Business or Technical graduate background with 5 year commercial experience

Key Account Manager

Your missions:
  • You Define and deploy a Key Account Plan 
  • You Lead the multiregional and multifunctional teams to deliver the Key account plan 
  • You Plan and lead contract negotiations and close deals. 
  • You Achieve KPI objectives (sales, gross profit etc.) with Key Account according to global marketing and pricing strategy 
  • You Identify new business opportunities in close cooperation with global business directors. 
  • You Maintain a wide network as well as high level relationships with Key Account decision makers

  • Business or Technical graduate background with 5 year commercial experience

Sales Development Manager

Your missions: 
  • You Develop new customers with existing products and / or modified products based on existing technologies. 
  • You Develop new applications with existing products 
  • You Foster, monitor and coordinate the pipeline of initiatives and projects (commercial and technical) with customers. 
  • You Manage the portfolio of development projects with relevant other functions within the organization. 
  • You Negotiate contracts with developmental customers. 
  • You Drive product commercialization together with other relevant functions.
