Preparing the Group for tomorrow’s priorities and challenges and ensuring its sustainable development, consists, for Solvay, in making sure that the right persons are working at the right place everywhere in the world.

Solvay’s Human Resources strategy “Growing people to grow our Group” reflects the human dimension and the importance accorded to people, to competencies, to personal development, to teamwork and to ethics.

As Daniel Broens, Human Resources General Manager, explains “what we are doing within our Human Resources network in fact is working together to develop our personnel in order to achieve the Group’s objectives, without losing sight of the fact that each employee has himself a role to play in his/her own individual development”.

For Solvay, the success of its strategy is based on the men and women working for the company worldwide.

Of the five Solvay Values, three relate directly to Human Resources: respect for people, empowerment and teamwork. The two others, often ranked first by personnel, relate to concern for customers and ethical behavior in business.

Code of Conduct has been formally adopted, setting out the standards and conduct expected of all employees, both in their work and in the communities in which they live.
The Group wants to further develop an entrepreneurial spirit while maintaining and improving the good relations it has established with its social partners.
