About the role

  • Our Maintenance team, composed of over 20 people, is integrated in the Silica Maintenance Department. The Team’s focus is continuous improvement of our Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by creating proactive and reactive solutions to safely produce Silica, in collaboration with our process control group and electrical engineering department.
  • As the Millwright, you will need the ability to perform: Coupling alignments, mechanical machine components, power transmissions, and rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines, seals, bearings and compressors.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Continuously learn new things about the equipment, process and internal customer. Suggest and/or make improvements to the work processes.
    • Help build and maintain a positive work environment and read and understand blueprints, schematics, and work orders for adjusting, overhauling, or repairing equipment and machinery, including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
    • Formulate repair plan and coordinate implementation with production. Complete work orders and documentation of the work completed. Site uses the SAP maintenance module.
    • Thread, cut, weld, drill, and prepare materials to complete work assignments.
    • Work alone or as part of a crew indoors and outdoors at the site. May be required to work from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, and elevated platforms.
    • Collaborate with the Instrumentation and Electrical (I/E) department on motors, agitators, pumps, valves, and actuators, but not limited to these tasks.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on an onsite working mode with a Rotating Shift, including weekends and holidays schedule.

About you

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing site as a millwright or industrial mechanic.
  • Successfully pass the Ramsay MecTest.

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, compressors, and hydraulic systems.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $42.00/hr to $43.24/hr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
