Payroll Operations Specialist - German Speaker (F/M/X)

About the role

  • Our Payroll & Benefits team, composed of 10 people, is integrated in our GBS organization and focuses on executing the monthly payroll for our active employees and our company pensioners in collaboration with our HR Service Line.
  • As a Payroll Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to help design new processes in addition to monthly payroll operations. You will have the chance to play an active role in many interesting global projects and thus make a significant contribution to the success of our company.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Executing the monthly payroll
    • Maintenance of time management data
    • Processing of the company pension scheme
    • Project work
    • Contact person for employees, interface departments, authorities and health insurances
  • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working model.

About you

  • University degree or equivalent in Human Resources or equivalent through experience
  • Relevant professional experience in payroll accounting in an international company, preferably in the chemical industry or in a manufacturing company
  • Competencies:
    • Fluent written and spoken German language skills and Good level of English
    • Well-founded knowledge of German wage tax and social security law
    • Knowledge of time management
    • Knowledge in HR and Payroll related tools (SAP HR, Success Factors and similar tools)
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Office or Google tools, especially Excel
  • Behaviors:

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Portugal base pay reasonably expected for this role is 30K€ to 36K€ (annual base), your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
