Logistic Transportation Operations Manager (F/M/X)

About the role

 

  • Our Logistics Team, composed of 3 people, is integrated in the NAM Supply Chain department and focuses on Transport and Handling of our local and internally produced chemicals.
  • As a Logistics Transportation Operation Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Special Chem. GBU North American logistics teams by overseeing the performance of our third-party warehousing and vendors, strive for continuous improvement in our distribution network, and implementing new logistics projects.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Ensure safe handling and storage of materials at third-party facilities/operations, including hazardous and dangerous goods, for the Special Chem GBU in NAM.
    • Lead transportation handling audits related to third-party logistics providers.
    • Work with logistics teams, HSE, and Technical Service to identify and address safety concerns related to warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
    • Serve as the Regulatory transportation expert (FRA, FMCSA, PHSMA, IMO, IMDG) for the operations group. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations (through associations, etc) and interact with appropriate regulatory agencies as well as corporate and plant personnel to resolve issues related to truck, rail, and multimodal operations outside of our facilities.
    • Lead transportation safety meetings monthly and manage SAP QM for incident tracking, audit, and action item reporting.
    • Lead projects for new terminal, warehouse, and multimodal operations to support commercial development.
    • Travel requirement 40%.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid/ travel working mode.

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in logistics and supply chain operations with technical expertise in transportation equipment, with Project and time management experience.
  • Competencies:

    • Has the ability to challenge and adapt existing ways of working, but also to lead change management.
    • Ability to act, communicate, and influence multi-stakeholders in a global environment across different organizational levels vertically & transversally.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and bring innovative new ideas for discussion and implementation.

About the pay and benefits

 

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
  • The base pay expected for this role is $92,000 - $115,000 per year in the USA.
