About the role
Our Total Rewards Services team, composed of 8 people, is integrated in the Human Resources Service Line and focuses on delivering total rewards services to Solvay Employees wordwide in collaboration with the local and global HR teams.
As a Compensation Specialist, you will work on compensation, and other total rewards-related activities. You will get the opportunity to contribute to compensation and total rewards excellence and have a positive impact on employee experience. You will be accountable for:
- Prepare and submit salary survey data for various providers (KF, Mercer, WTW, Remunet), extract annual market benchmarks, and support salary forecasting Globally and Living Wage assessments.
- Coordinate compensation processes including pay range implementation (e.g. Success Factors) , the Compensation Review cycle, documentation, and annual compensation statements.
- Manage Long-Term Incentive (LTI) activities, including enrollment/termination with providers and preparation of quarterly accrual reports.
- Produce reporting and KPIs, support ad hoc compensation tasks and projects, and maintain up‑to‑date Standard Operating Procedures.
- Act as backup for Global Mobility and Fleet activities when needed.
We offer a fixed-term (9 months) contract based on hybrid (2 days per week onsite) working mode.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline. Relevant work experience in compensation activities and other HR roles.

- Fluent in English
Proficiency in Excel, HRIS, and compensation management systems
Knowledge of compensation best practices

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is € 25000 - € 31000 per year in Portugal.
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
