LinkedIn Talent Awards 2018
Stepping up to the LinkedIn podium
Solvay has been awarded the LinkedIn Talent Awards 2018 - Best Employer Brand - by the renown business and employment-oriented service platform.
This recognition is aimed at companies who use LinkedIn solutions to successfully engage with bright game-changers: 39% of the Group’s external hiring of managerial positions came from LinkedIn.
The award acknowledges Solvay’s cutting-edge communication strategy to attract talent worldwide.
Jan Devos, Relationship Manager Belgium & Luxemburg at LinkedIn, says:
“Solvay wins this award for three main reasons based on what you can immediately see on LinkedIn. First, for its engaging strategy clearly explaining the company purpose. Second, for the clear-cut business lines presentation and finally by portraying what working at Solvay is like. All that lead Solvay to this greatly deserved success.”
Belgium-based but with global resonance
For this first edition of the Belgium Talent Awards, the ceremony was held in Brussels and Solvay stood out based on engagement, reach and LinkedIn life page completeness in comparison to companies with more than 500 employees headquartered in the participating country.
The 2018 Awards was not open to applications but rather, the LinkedIn Insight team were in charge of selecting companies out of 1,000 based in Belgium - qualified for the nomination - based on their performance, results and impact.
I'm so proud of Solvay for winning the Talent Awards! This is a major recognition and the result of the work and engagement of different teams across Solvay from Communication, Talent Acquisition, to Businesses - and more so, of our leaders and employees who are true ambassadors of our employer brand on LinkedIn! Thank you all and let's continue inspiring new talents to join us!
@SolvayGroup on Linkedin: together for digital transformation
It started mainly as a channel for recruiting and employer communications, but in the fast-paced age of more and more competitive markets, Solvay’s partnership with LinkedIn is becoming one of the key allies for its digital presence.
Based on Solvay's 2017 Talent Acquisition Report, 39% of the external hiring of managerial positions came from Solvay Company page on LinkedIn.
More specifically, this figure takes into account those who are actively seeking a job and who applied - as well as those who have been engaged by our recruiters - via LinkedIn, successfully leading to hiring new talents.
This journey was initiated five years ago and requires daily dedication and teamwork at all levels of the Company to help establish Solvay’s employer brand in this channel. It took time and it has been a rich learning experience in the way the Group has been engaging with potential employees through advertising jobs, the narrative and the successful insight stories provided. The goal is to help potential candidates recognise Solvay as their employer of choice.
