Innovative Material for Electrical Storage and Conversion Devices
We have developed Specialty Polymers that feature a unique Short Side Chain (SCC) copolymer allowing higher crystallinity and improved mechanical properties.
Aquivion® ion conducting polymers for Better Proton Conductivity
Aquivion® ionomer membranes are available in the acid form and feature lower equivalent weight than most competitive proton exchange membranes. The material technology, featuring Short Side Chain ionomers, improves proton conductivity making it a key enabler for electrical storage and conversion devices. It can be used in solutions to overcome some of the key challenges of the green economy.

Solutions aimed at combatting metropolitan pollution and global warming
Solvay’s Aquivion® portfolio offers the industry's broadest range of compositions and product forms. These innovative materials are based on the Short Side Chain (SSC) copolymer of Tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and Sulfonyl Fluoride Vinyl Ether (SFVE).
Superior Durability Membranes
Aquivion® is based on a chemically-stabilized polymer so it will exhibit superior durability in systems that involve radical species such as +OH and +OOH (hydroxyl and hydroperoxyl radicals). This makes Aquivion® a versatile material for a range of applications.
