The Solvay Way reference framework has been widely deployed and appropriated by employees for the past two years now. With 44% of employees involved in developing actions plans, the Solvay Way Group profile made notable progress in 2017.
Solvay has listed specific commitments towards our stakeholders, detailed in 48 practices which are themselves structured on a four-tiered scale (fundamental, improvement, maturity and performance). This continuous improvement approach helps all the Group’s entities measure annually their level of maturity and define their action plans going forward.
The Solvay Way network plays a key role in ensuring the deployment of the process: Champions and correspondents mobilize their colleagues around specific objectives (based on the referential framework) and deploy action plans with employees throughout the year to improve their practices. The latest Solvay Way results show that employees of industrial sites, R&I centers, businesses entities or functions are increasingly participating in the process of translating the Group’s ambition for greater sustainable development into concrete actions.
