Barcelona, Spain - 26/27 September 2017 - The AIRUSE & IMPROVE LIFE projects hosted the International LIFE Platform meeting on AIR QUALITY in Barcelona.

Air quality is one of the major health related environmental issues from global to local scales. The aim of this Platform Meeting was to review state-of-the-art strategies and measures to improve air quality in cities.

In a session dedicated to "Effectiveness of urban air quality measures", Thierry Seguelong - Solvay's Global Market Manager for Fuel & Additive Systems - presented the LIFE AUTO project (AUTO LIFE12 ENV/FR/000480): the innovation called E-SIS® combined with adapted fuel additives (Easyflex® & Eolys Powerflex®) trigger significant emissions reduction, leading to improvement of urban air quality and reduction of global warming. He pointed out the transversality of the LIFE Auto project in term of applications and geographical zones.
