Rubber. Ideally suited to aerospace applications. Features and Benefits: Uncured silicone compound, supplied in roll form. Can be used to bond cured and uncured silicone sheet to itself or to prepared metal surfaces. Requires the application of heat (150°C/302°F for 30 minutes) and slight contact pressure, in order to obtain the optimum in cure and bond strength. Must be cured in an oxygen free environment. Care should be taken to protect surfaces not intended to be bonded by using a release film. The use of our ETFE film A6000BNP20 is recommended in such cases. After vulcanization of 14206, no further protection is necessary. Excellent primers for 14206 are Thixon 305 or Dow Corning 2260. A primer is not necessary for bonding cured silicone to itself, or when using the uncured 14206 to repair damage to vacuum bags.
