Cured intensifier rubber. Ideally suited to high temperature applications. Solvay can manufacture a range of cured intensifiers to meet our customers’ specific requirements. Features and Benefits: Silicone compound with high hardness formulation, which is available in uncured calendared sheet form. Can be cured in contact with typical epoxy prepreg reinforcements to fabricate stiff pressure distribution pads or intensifiers. Excellent resistance to high temperature exposure and good release properties when placed in direct contact with epoxy resin. Improve release properties by over coating with Solvay NCRCI release coating or applications of approved release agents such as Freekote #700, before autoclave vulcanization of the composite article. By using epoxy prepreg reinforcement (either carbon or glass fabric) the elastomer can be stabilized to yield by negligible shrinkage values in service.
