MTA241 is a structural adhesive film suitable for bonding both aluminium and composite substrates either to themselves or to honeycomb core materials. It offers a good combination of honeycomb peel strength and high service temperature capability. MTA241 can be co-cured with MTM® 45-1 and MTM® 45-1FR Out-Of-Autoclave (OoA) prepregs when the initial cure temperature exceeds 120°C (248°F). Full strength achieved after 180°C (356°F) cure or subsequent post-cure after low temperature initial cure.Minimum initial cure temperature 120°C (248°F). Maximum dry service temperature of 180°C (356°F).

Medium temperature, grey surface improvement film compatible with other MTM systems. Supplied on a number of carriers/scrims, including conductive mesh for lightning strike protection. Cured under vacuum only will provide a stable, tough, paint-ready, sandable surface directly from the tool. High temperature resistant, inherently flame-retardant with low toxic gas and smoke generation, cyanate ester prepreg. Initial cure at 135°C (275°F). After a suitable post-cure, the glass transition temperature can be increased to a maximum of 330°C (626°F), thus allowing components to withstand short duration thermal spikes up to this temperature. MTM® 157 is a 120°C curing epoxy resin prepreg matrix developed specifically for applications requiring high compressive performance. This system offers a flexible curing process and good handling. Suitable for tube rolling and shrink wrap moulding for the sports equipment market. DMA E’ onset Tg 109°C (228°F). Typical cure between 85°C - 135°C (185°F - 275°F).

MTM220 is a controlled flow, 120°C (248°F) curing, flame-retarded epoxy resin system developed for the manufacture of honeycomb cored structures using autoclave, vacuum bag or press moulding processes. MTM220 offers optimised tack and will bond directly to honeycomb core without the need for an additional adhesive film. This resin system also offers excellent retention of mechanical properties in hot-wet conditions and is self-extinguishing to FAR25.853, thus making it an ideal candidate material for the construction of honeycomb cored secondary structures for the aerospace sector.
