Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) is more and more used for the manufacturing of semiconductor devices such as IC (integrated circuits), flat panels, photovoltaic panels and MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems).
SF6 is applied in the above process as an etching gas. Due to the density and large molecule size, SF6 is a prefered etching gas in flat panel and MEMS production processes.
Fluorinated gases, such as Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6), play very important roles in the manufacturing of silicon devices.
Gas purity is of key importance in this market segment, because any possibility of contamination has to be minimized. For this purpose Solvay offers N5.0 material (purity min. 99.999 %)

Algoflon® D 1610 F is a PFOA-free white aqueous PTFE dispersion. It is designed for additivation of plastics and is particularly recommended for use as anti-drip in flame retardant formulations.

Algoflon® F 5 is a fine cut homopolymer PTFE powder that is white, granular and non-free flowing. It is designed for filled grades and in particular is recommended for compounds with glass fiber since it allows good degassing during the sintering process.

Algoflon® F 5 FT is a fine cut homopolymer PTFE powder that is white, granular and non-free flowing powder. It is designed for compounds production and in particular it is recommended for use with high filler content. Dark compounds based on Algoflon® F5 FT show optimum isotropic behaviour and very good longitudinal mechanical properties.

Algoflon® F 7 is a fine cut homopolymer PTFE powder that is white, granular and non-free flowing. It is designed for normal compression molding and in particular molding of large billets for low thickness skived tapes down to 1 mil (25 µm). Algoflon® L203 R a white PTFE micronized powder produced from dispersion polymerization comprising loose agglomerates of sub-micron sized primary particles. Algoflon® L203 R can be de-agglomerated to sub-micron particle size by the application of shear, providing a better dispersion and distribution of the PTFE particles in the application.

Amodel® A-4160 HSL resin is a 60% glass reinforced, heat stabilized polyphthalamide (PPA) which exhibits high modulus at elevated temperatures, a high heat deflection temperature and exceptional creep resistance. Amodel® A-4422 LS resin is a 22% reinforced, light-stabilized, high-reflectivity white grade of polyphthalamide (PPA). Amodel® HFFR-4133 is a 33% glass-reinforced, halogen-free, flame retardant polyphthalamide (PPA) resin which offers enhanced processing capabilities for electrical and electronic applications. This resin is rated V-0 by Underwriters Laboratories using the UL94 test and is hot-water moldable. It has high flow and a wide processing window and offers good surface appearance, especially for larger electrical components. This grade can withstand the demanding infrared reflow soldering process typically used in the electronics industry. It is well suited for connectors and other electrical devices requiring surface mount technology (SMT).

Amodel® HFZ A-4133 L polyphthalamide (PPA) is a 33% glass-reinforced, hot water moldable resin. Key properties include heat resistance, reduced outgassing and high strength and stiffness over a broad temperature range. AvaSpire® AV-651 GF30 is a 30% glass fiber reinforced polyaryletherketone (PAEK) that has been specifically formulated to provide higher mechanical strength and stiffness than unfilled AV-651 resin.
