High Performance Dielectric Heat Transfer Fluids
Galden® PFPE is a family of inert, high-performance, fluorinated fluids that offer good dielectric properties, exceptional chemical stability, and the capacity to operate at very low as well as elevated temperatures in aggressive conditions, making them useful in many industrial applications. Boiling points range from 55°C to 270 °C (131°F to 518°F). Typical operating temperatures range from -70°C to 290 °C (-94°F to 554°F).
Why Galden® PFPE Fluids?
- High thermal stability
- Broad range of operating temperatures
- Good dielectric properties
- Chemically inert
- Compatible with metals, plastics and elastomers
- No flash, fire or auto-ignition points
- Safety (FM approved 6930)
- NSF approved
Typical industries served by Galden® PFPE fluids are semiconductor manufacturing, electronic testing and cooling, carriers for fluorinated lubricants, solar, CPI, batteries, pharmaceutical and food.
For the Electronics and Semiconductor industries, Galden® PFPE products are used as heat transfer fluids for the production of electronic components, dielectric fluids to test electronic devices for thermal shock resistance and hermetic seals properties, and heat transfer fluids for the Vapor Phase Soldering (VPS) process used to mount components to printed circuit boards.
Galden® PFPE Product Line
Galden® PFPE fluids are available in a variety of grades that meet specific performance requirements for a variety of industrial applications.
|Galden® HT||Heat Transfer Fluids||Safe heat transfer media for extreme conditions over a broad temperature range.
High Boiler (HB) grades operate from 150°C to 290°C and significantly reduce
evaporation losses vs. Low Boil (LB) grades.
|Galden® D||Electronics Testing||Suitable for electronic reliability testing, including thermal shock resistance and hermetic sealing.|
|Galden® LS/HS||Vapor Phase Soldering||Designed specifically for VPS processing and offers strictly controlled narrow molecular
weight distribution and vapor temperature.
|Galden® SV||Solvents||Low molecular weight, CFC-free solvents used for cleaning operations. Can be applied to hot components, heated prior to application, or pressure-sprayed onto components. Carrier for fluorinated lubricants.|
