About the role

Our team at Solvents Plants, composed of about 50 people, is integrated into the Industrial area of COATIS and focuses on the Operation of our Plants at the Paulínia Site, delivering Solvents products to our clients, and adding value in our Supply Chain through collaboration with several cross-functional teams. 

As a Production Manager, you will be accountable for planning and managing activities within the Solvents production area, aiming to meet production schedules—including agreed-upon quantities, deadlines, costs, and quality—while adhering to Quality, Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental standards. You will be accountable for:

  • Lead Solvents plant operations, managing production, new product industrialization, and toll manufacturing activities while delivering Safety, Quality, Cost, and business performance targets.
  • Develop and execute industrial strategy, aligning plant operations, investment plans, and resource allocation with short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance, enforcing company policies related to Quality, HSE, Product Stewardship, Human Resources, and maintaining the Solvents quality management system.
  • Drive continuous improvement and asset performance, optimizing resources, processes, productivity, product quality, maintenance shutdowns, projects, cost control, budget forecasting, and process debottlenecking initiatives.
  • Lead people and stakeholder management, developing engineers and technicians, fostering a positive work environment, resolving customer issues and special requests, and managing production cost efficiency and industrial fixed costs.

 
We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

 

About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering. Proven experience in Production, Quality, Project execution, and Coordination or Management positions within the Chemical Industry.  

Competencies: 

  • Technical expertise in chemical engineering and manufacturing, including chemical process unit operations, manufacturing tools and systems, and solid knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat/mass transfer.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with advanced calculation capabilities and experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions.
  • Leadership, communication, and safety-oriented mindset, combining organizational and people leadership skills, advanced proficiency in English and Portuguese, and a strong commitment to Safety First principles.

About the pay 

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Brazil base pay reasonably expected for this role is R$ 342.400 to R$ 407.200 (with harzard pay already and 13o salary already included), your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
