The CERN-SOLVAY student camp open for 2025 applications
The immersive residential camp, to be held in Geneva, aims to nurture the next generation of global STEM leaders by exploring cutting-edge science and innovation.
Solvay and CERN announce the opening of applications for the fourth edition of the CERN-Solvay student camps, an integral part of their ongoing partnership program. This residential camp provides a unique opportunity for high-school students aged 16 and above to delve into the fascinating world of science, exploring the groundbreaking research conducted at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics. This collaboration, supported by the Fonds Ernest Solvay, is a central component of Solvay’s corporate citizenship program, committed to fostering STEM education worldwide.
Scheduled to unfold from October 5 to October 11, 2025, the CERN-Solvay student camp will provide a week-long immersive experience for 30 international students. This camp will encompass a variety of engaging activities, including:
Engaging hands-on experiments that bring the world of particle physics to life.
Exclusive tours of CERN's cutting-edge facilities, providing a firsthand glimpse into groundbreaking research.
Enlightening lectures and Q&A sessions CERN and Solvay experts, offering valuable insights into potential careers.
Collaborative opportunities for students to work in small groups on exciting research projects, under the guidance of CERN physicists and engineers.
Cultural exchanges fostering a global perspective on science, enriched by cultural diversity.

To qualify for the CERN-Solvay student camps, applicants must have a digital certificate indicating completion of the CERN-Solvay Education Program online course, possess proficient English skills, and be at least 16 years old while enrolled in high school during the application period. Applications for the camps are open until May 25, 2025. The outcome of applications will be communicated around July 1, 2025.
