About the role
You will be accountable for:
Lead process engineering studies, including modeling, simulation, and the development of process flow diagrams.
Design and specify key equipment such as reactors, separation columns, heat exchangers, and systems for filtration, liquid-liquid extraction, and solid handling.
Develop comprehensive Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
Analyze data to inform critical decisions and maintain specialized know-how in Rare Earth Technologies.
Consolidate and advance process design knowledge through the creation of guidelines and design tools.
Provide expert technical insights, propose innovative solutions to challenges, and present evidence-based recommendations for implementation.
In addition, depending on opportunities and organizational requirements, you will take on the role of Lead Process Engineer for major industrial investment projects. In this capacity, you will coordinate the activities of a process engineering team, potentially including external engineering teams, and validate their output.
We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode in our Brussels office. This role requires occasional international travel for short periods.
About you
Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering.
Competencies:
Strong knowledge of various processes.
Fluency in French and English is required.
Strong Customer Orientation.
Behaviors:

About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Belgium base pay reasonably expected for this role is 95 000€ to 110 000€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
