About the role
Our HSE team, composed of 38 people is integrated into the Industrial Management of the Coatis business unit. It focuses on reducing the exposure of people and assets to occupational and process accident risks, in compliance with corporate and legal safety, health, and environmental requirements, in collaboration with production units and the corporate office.
As an HSE Manager, you will work on the company's risk management system, recognizing and managing risks, deploying controls at all levels of the organization, establishing monitoring mechanisms to support decision-making focused on zero accidents. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our fundamental commitment to safety and advance in the integration of safety practices across Solvay sites, generating a positive impact on compliance with the company's HSE Policies and current legislation, preserving the company's assets and image, as well as the integrity of employees and service providers. You will be responsible for:
Ensure compliance with the company's Life Saving Rules requirements and adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental legislation, maintaining the relationship between the company's internal areas and official bodies.
Supervise and advise on root cause analyses of accidents, improvements to work processes, projects, training, campaigns, and the development of accident prevention standards and procedures, playing a decisive role in the evolution of the safety culture.
Coordinate the progress in meeting the insurer's recommendations aimed at reducing the risk of losses and insurance premiums.
Coordinate crisis situations and internal and external emergencies that put people, assets, and the environment at risk.
Acting as the focal point of the corporate HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) for the deployment of strategies and action plans, as well as representing the Company before official bodies, non-governmental organizations, research entities, and the community in general, ensuring good relations, maintaining the image, and staying updated on trends and new requirements.
We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode with occasional travel to other sites, mainly Santo André.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Occupational safety or environmental management. Relevant work experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry.

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role (including 30% hazard pay and 13th-month salary) is R$ 387,920 - R$ 484,900 per year in BraziL.
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
