About the role
Our Maintenance Engineering & Reliability team, composed of 23 people, is integrated into the Maintenance Department and focuses on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through continuous improvement by creating root cause analysis and proactive solutions in collaboration with Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and production availability.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be in a tactical function for the maintenance and reliability objectives, with the responsibility of improving maintenance engineering practices to continuously increase the maintenance productivity and asset reliability.
You will be accountable for:
Lead weekly Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings, prioritizing critical failures and ensuring the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Manage Bad Actors by conducting monthly analyses and coordinating workshops to systematically eliminate root causes.
Monitor OEE losses, perform technical analyses, and implement improvement actions focused on availability, quality, and performance.
Identify opportunities to improve precision and maintainability, adjusting maintenance plans and proposing technical modifications.
Serve as a technical reference for maintenance routines, contracts, planned shutdowns, and SAM (modification analysis) processes.
Audit and provide technical support to the Production Function Integration (IFP) process.
Review inspection data and failure histories, ensuring traceability and supporting reliability teams.
Evaluate maintenance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, failure rate, historical costs) and propose strategic adjustments.
Perform reliability risk analyses, identifying critical conditions and proposing mitigation actions.
Interact with the Asset Monitoring Center (CMA), directing actions to mitigate potential failures.
Lead and support asset modification analyses, ensuring improvements in reliability and safety.
Follow up on predictive maintenance recommendations, adjusting strategies based on actual asset performance.
Collaborate with Reliability and Specialty Engineering teams, reviewing maintenance policies and strategies.
Monitor maintenance plan execution, ensuring deadlines, quality, and effectiveness.
Ensure robust technical documentation to support evidence-based decision-making.
Act as a liaison between production, reliability, engineering, and planning, ensuring technical and operational alignment.
Audit processes and ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and safety standards.
Promote continuous improvement and technical knowledge management within the team.

About you
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
3-5 years' experience in technical areas of industrial engineering/maintenance, especially equipment maintenance experience
CREA registered
Advanced English (preferred)

About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country base pay reasonably expected for this role is R$146,000.00 up to R$ 182,500.00 ("Periculosidade"/hazard allowance and 13th salary already included). Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
