About the role
Our VAT & Indirect Tax team, composed of 6 people, is integrated in the Finance department and focuses on VAT and Indirect Tax compliance across the Solvay Group.
As a VAT & Indirect Tax Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in an international environment, contributing to the compliance and efficiency of a global business services organization. This internship offers exposure to real-world tax operations and the chance to develop skills that are highly valued in finance and accounting careers. You will be accountable for:
- Assist with VAT corrections and reconciliations
- Verify VAT invoice requirements
- Support the preparation and filing of VAT, Intrastat returns, and EC-Sales Lists (Europe)
- Contribute to internal and external VAT audits
- Collaborate on the reconciliation of VAT accounts
We offer a internship (12 months) contract based on hybrid (2 days per week onsite) working mode.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Economics or Finance (specialization in Tax is a plus).

- Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined according to academic background. The Internship Allowance for this role is € 940 - € 1040 per month in Portugal.
