About the role
Our Maintenance team, composed of over 20 people, is integrated in the Silica Maintenance Department. The Team’s focus is continuous improvement of our Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by creating proactive and reactive solutions to safely produce Silica, in collaboration with our process control group and electrical engineering department.
As a Silica Maintenance Millwright , you will need the ability to perform: Coupling alignments, mechanical machine components, power transmissions, and rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines, seals, bearings and compressors.
You will be accountable for:
- Safety Leadership: Performing all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to LOTO, hot work, and line break protocols. You will participate in MOC/PHA reviews and provide safety coaching to co-workers.
- Maintenance Execution: Reviewing SAP work orders and computer-generated PM schedules to formulate repair plans. This includes adjusting, overhauling, or repairing pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Technical Fabrication: Threading, cutting, welding, drilling, and preparing materials to complete assignments. You will also install new equipment, following blueprints and schematics through to start-up.
- Collaboration: Working effectively with the Silica team and the I/E department on motors, agitators, and actuators. You will ensure smooth shift changes and support team decisions on scheduling and problem-solving.
- Operational Excellence: Maintaining clean, organized work areas and continuously suggesting improvements to work processes.
We offer a permanent contract based on an onsite working mode with a Rotating Shift, including weekends and holidays schedule.
About you
High school diploma/GED required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing site as a millwright or industrial mechanic.
Successfully pass the Ramsay MecTest.

About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $42.47/hr to $44.75/hr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
