IT Portfolio Manager (F/M/X)

About the role

  • Our Programs & Planning team is integrated in the Digital Technology (DT) department.
  • As a IT Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for strategic alignment and efficient resource allocation of the project portfolio. This role ensures that IT projects are in sync with the business strategy and technology roadmap, optimizing both the outcomes and the use of resources.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Aligning the project portfolio and their phasing with business priorities and strategy.
    • Monitoring all projects within the digital technology portfolio, including timelines, financial KPIs, value realization, status, and risks, by working closely with business and IT stakeholders.
    • Ensuring efficient resource allocation and identifying skill requirements across the IT organization.
    • Tracking, managing, reviewing, and planning the IT budget at both overall and project levels.
    • Aligning projects and programs with the technology strategy and roadmap and prioritize the portfolio backlog based on value contribution.
    • Implementing basic governance frameworks and intermediate-level risk management practices.
    • Promoting ongoing enhancement of portfolio management methodologies and practices.
    • Leveraging portfolio management tools and systems to improve portfolio transparency and tracking.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

 

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration or or a comparable field.
  • Relevant work experience in (IT) Project Management / PMO, (IT Portfolio Management).
  • Competencies:
    • Experience in defining and managing IT portfolio governance frameworks to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and priorities.
    • Knowledge of portfolio management methodologies, such as MoP (Management of Portfolios), and their application in complex digital environments.
    • Extensive expertise in financial management and resource allocation across multiple IT projects to optimize portfolio performance.
    • Experienced in using portfolio management tools, such as MS Project, Planview, or Jira, to track performance metrics and progress.
    • Proficient in stakeholder engagement and communication to align IT portfolios with organizational goals and priorities.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 38 960 euros to 58 400 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
