About the role
Our Australia Supply Chain team, composed of 3 people, is integrated in the is integrated in the Operations department and focuses on end-to-end logistics management for the Banksmeadow site and Australia-wide material inbound/outbound flows in collaboration with GBU (Global Business Unit) teams, Sales & Marketing, Production, Purchasing, and external logistics service providers..
As a Logistics Leader, you will work on safe and compliant logistics operations, timely delivery of materials (raw materials, intermediates, finished goods), and logistics cost optimization to support production needs and final customer requirements. You will get the opportunity to contribute to supply chain efficiency improvement and have a positive impact on operational cost control and customer satisfaction.. You will be accountable for:
Ensuring safe logistics operations and adherence to all HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) regulations for the Banksmeadow site and Australia-wide material in/out flows
Delivering on-time, in-quality, and in-specification (OTIF) delivery of raw materials, intermediate goods, finished goods, and technical goods to meet production schedules and customer demands
Monitoring, analyzing, and following up on logistic costs (including transport, handling, and warehousing) while maintaining high inventory accuracy
Managing logistics service providers (LSPs) by tracking Service Level Agreements (SLAs), resolving quality/issues, and providing technical advice on Solvay product handling
Leading or participating in GBU/SC (Supply Chain) assigned projects, deploying compliant logistics procedures, and proposing process improvements to enhance operations effectiveness
We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Relevant work experience in end-to-end logistics operations (preferably in manufacturing/chemical industry), with experience in managing LSPs and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Competencies:
Solid knowledge of GBU business, Solvay products, supply chain trends, and Australian laws/regulations affecting logistics (e.g., dangerous goods transport, customs)
Proficiency in organizing daily logistics activities (transportation booking, stock supervision, order administrative handling) and purchasing logistic services/equipment
Ability to analyze logistics performance data, identify optimization opportunities, and drive process improvements to reduce costs and meet norms/procedures

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is:
90,000 - 110,000 AUD per year in Australia
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
