With an exclusive integrated polyamide chain in Latin America and a global commercial and logistics structure, Solvay has been a pioneer in the production of polyamide 6.6 polymers since the 1950s. The company continuously improves its production process and products to offer more sustainable raw materials to the textile and engineering plastics industries.
In addition to having an industrial plant in Santo André, São Paulo that operates using cleaner energy, the Solvay Group has been operating a chemical recycling unit since 1968 for the "production waste" of textile polymers. This unit recovers and reintroduces the waste into the manufacturing lines, transforming them into new polymers.

Nylon salt, the primary raw material for Rhodyanil polymers, is sourced from one of Solvay's largest industrial complexes in the world, situated in Paulínia, São Paulo, Brazil. This site is globally renowned for its sustainability initiatives, including a greenhouse gas abatement station that effectively reduces approximately 4.5 million tons of CO2 annually. This reduction is equivalent to the yearly emissions of one million cars. Furthermore, the site is dedicated to preserving local biodiversity, earning the company the GOLD certificate from the WHC (Wildlife Habitat Council).
