A safer and more eco-friendly approach to producing pulp

A rapidly changing economy and the transformation of consumer habits poses a number of challenges for the pulp and paper industry. This includes the need to use more environmentally friendly practices in the pulping process.

Solvay has developed Fibrite® and Solbrite®, two specific grades of hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid developed to replace the harsher chlorine based chemicals and solvents used in traditional pulp processing. These products make the pulping process safer while reducing its impact on the environment.
