São Paulo, January 11, 2021 - Rhodia, a company of the Solvay Group, has signed an agreement with Grupo MCassab, which will be responsible for distributing polyamide textile fibers and yarns.

Currently, MCassab is already a distributor of specialty chemicals produced by Rhodia in Brazil.

The implementation of this distribution channel for Rhodia's textile fibers and yarns is part of the company's growth strategy in this segment, expanding its network for promotion, service, and availability among customers with specific needs and volumes.

Among Rhodia's main polyamide yarns to be distributed by Grupo MCassab are:

Amni® Virus-Bac Off, developed to combat cross-contamination of viruses and bacteria, including the coronavirus, between textile articles and the user. The polyamide can be used in casual wear, sportswear, school uniforms, professional clothing, socks, shoes, accessories, social use masks, and even hospital clothing and trousseaus.

Amni Soul Eco®, the world's first biodegradable polyamide 6.6 yarn, whose formula has been enhanced to allow clothes made with this yarn to decompose rapidly after being discarded in landfills.

Amni® Biotech Eco, a biodegradable yarn with bacteriostatic protection for daily use, especially in lingerie, underwear, socks, and sportswear.

Amni® UV Protection, technology with protection against UVA and UVB rays, mainly for high exposure to sunlight, used in beachwear, sportswear, leisurewear, and accessories.

Amni Colors®, which offers textile resource optimization with the development to insert a special shade into the yarn. In addition to eliminating the dyeing step and the risk of stains, it also prevents the loss of color intensity in clothes.

Emana®, an intelligent yarn with bioactive minerals incorporated into its DNA, which absorbs body heat and emits long infrared rays back to the body, providing cosmetic and sports benefits with great comfort and well-being.

"We are confident that, together, we will be able to further expand the application of Rhodia's innovative technologies in the textile sector, bringing our sustainable innovations that promote quality of life to an even larger number of people," said Antonio Leite, Global Vice President of Polyamide and Fibers at the Solvay Group.
