About the role

  • Our Finance team, composed of 5 persons, is integrated within the Silica Global Business Unit (GBU) and focuses on providing key financial insights and support to sales teams in an international environment.
  • As a Business Controller Trainee, you will work on reviewing customer pricing formulas, assisting with forecasting processes, and supporting the Consumer and Industrial Goods (CIG) market to support the Silica GBU’s financial objectives. You will get the opportunity to contribute to budget preparation and client contract negotiations and have a positive impact on the GBU’s financial performance.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Reviewing customer pricing formulas and indicators in support of the Global Business Controller, Business Managers, and Key Account Managers.
    • Assisting with the monthly forecasting process ("rolling forecast"), monitoring unit cost forecasts as well as customer volume and pricing forecasts.
    • Supporting the CIG (Consumer and Industrial Goods) market of the Silica GBU: preparing monthly and quarterly reports, analyzing margins, supporting sales teams, and budget preparation.
    • Providing support to the Controlling team during the Budget/BFR06 process: tracking and coordinating the various steps of the budgeting process with different stakeholders (Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial, Strategy & Marketing teams), analyzing deviations between the budget and the current year, updating dashboards, etc.
    • Participating in preparatory stages of client contract negotiations.
    • Engaging in projects aimed at simplifying or harmonizing processes.
  • We offer an apprenticeship (12 months) contract, from September 2025, based on a hybrid working mode.


About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Relevant work experience in financial analysis, controlling, or related fields.
  • Competencies:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the pay and benefits

  • Remuneration: To be determined according to the criteria of apprenticeship and professionalization contracts, taking into account the candidate’s age and level of education.

  • 13th month salary, prorated according to your time spent in the company

  • Vacation bonus of €870, prorated based on your presence in the company
