Rhine water level situation still affects Solvay’s nylon chain

Share to

Solvay is experiencing difficulties in receiving raw materials it needs to produce HMDA and adipic acid, due to the very severe situation of the water levels of the Rhine river.

As a result of these exceptional weather conditions, Solvay has since yesterday not received any goods, shipped by barges, at its Chalampé platform.

Solvay aims to keep the impact for its own product deliveries to customers at a minimum.
