At the end of June 2021 we began constructing a new solar farm in Provadsol, designed to serve our soda ash brine production plant near Devnya, Bulgaria. Consisting of more than 7,000 photovoltaic panels on 60,000 square meters of the site's land, the farm will help meet the power needs of the Provadsol plant and reduce CO2 emissions by about 2,500 tons.

The project constitutes a vital step forward in our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in our soda ash business. The solar farm will use innovative bifacial panels - with cells on both sides - which are capable of producing more energy than conventional monofacial panels. It will be up and running before the end of 2021.
