Paulínia, (Brazil), November 7, 2018 – Solvay is opening in Paulinia, Sao Paulo, its new industrial unit dedicated exclusively to the production of oxygenated solvents under Augeo® renewable source line to attend clients in different industrial segments around the world.
Focused on sustainability and high performance, the Augeo® product line is composed of versatile molecules with high solubility power and low odor, mainly used in the consumer goods markets, especially in home care products such as surface cleaners and air care. Other important segments are industrial and institutional cleaning, paints and coatings, agro and oil and gas. “The new Augeo® plant demonstrate our commitment to sustainable chemistry, which offers our customers solutions to the development of products that are more friendly to people and the environment,” says Daniela Manique, president of the Solvay Coatis Global Business Unit.
The industrial plant has a special meaning for the company as it initiates the operation during the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Solvay´s first oxygenated solvent plant in Brazil, located in Paulínia, Sao Paulo, which became a milestone in the development of the chemical industry in Brazil.
