CASO® FCC Solution is used as a food additive (E509). Added to milk, it accelerates coagulation and increases curd firmness. It is a source of calcium with only a very small alteration of the taste in dairy production. It also helps maintain the firmness of fruits and vegetables. It corrects mineral deficiencies in the brewing water to ensure a uniform taste. caso®fcc solution is a synthetic calcium chloride of mineral origin in aqueous solution intended for food uses. In the context of European Regulation N°1333/2008 as amended, only food additives included in the Union list set out in Annex II to this regulation (authorized food additives), may be placed on the market and used in food under the conditions of use specified therein. This list was published in Regulation N°1129/2011. Moreover authorized food additives have to comply with approved purity criteria as laid down in EU Regulation N°231/2012. caso®fcc solution is characterized by the European Number E509 referring to “calcium chloride” and meets the specific purity criteria laid down in the Annex to Regulation N°231/2012 as amended. Therefore caso®fcc solution may be used in food under the conditions of use specified in Regulation N°1129/2011 and Regulation N°1130/2011 as amended. caso®fcc solution is produced under HACCP condition and is ISO22000 certified.
