Science and innovation advancing sustainable menstrual health

Solvay and Pantys, a global femtech apparel brand, have joined forces. They aim to expand access to sustainable, high-performance menstrual health solutions. Their partnership also focuses on inclusion and social impact.

By combining Solvay’s expertise in essential chemistry with Pantys’ experience in developing solutions for menstrual well‑being, the partnership addresses critical challenges. These challenges include period poverty, access to care and environmental responsibility.

Beyond its scientific work with Amni Soul Eco®, Solvay’s biodegradable polyamide supports reusable menstrual products. Solvay also partners with Pantys to fund social impact projects. These projects expand menstrual health education and improve access in underserved communities.

In Brazil, we see firsthand how access to menstrual health solutions can make a real difference in everyday life. This partnership lets us build on that work with Pantys, supporting communities in ways that are practical and meaningful.

From innovation to measurable impact

people who menstruate reached in 2024
250
people expected to be reached in 2026
7,000
people projected to be reached by 2028
70,000
Through this collaboration, the programs should reach over 70,000 people by 2028. This reflects the ambition to expand impact over time in a rigorous, responsible way.

A defining element of the partnership is the use of recognized, independently verified methodologies to assess social outcomes. This structured approach improves transparency, credibility, and long-term value creation. It also aligns with Solvay’s Community & Philanthropy and ESG commitments.

By treating social impact just like scientific innovation, Solvay and Pantys are creating a better, more scalable way to tackle global health and inclusion challenges.

This partnership with Solvay represents a new chapter, not just for Pantys, but for how corporations can measure and invest in social impact. We've spent years building real impact for women on the ground, and now we have a way to certify it, scale it, and invite others to be part of it.

What makes the social credits model truly transformative is that it creates a self-sustaining cycle: as credits are sold on the open market, the revenue flows back to fund and expand our donation programs, reaching more women each year.

This means we can grow our impact exponentially from thousands of women to hundreds of thousands, while building a financially sustainable engine that continues the work for years to come.
