Construction Industry - Thermal Insulation

SOLKANE® blowing agents are an important component in order to produce foams such as polyurethane (PU) foam and extruded polystyrene, which provide thermal insulation

SOLKANE® 365mfc is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) of the latest generation. It has no ozone depleting potential and is used for a wide range of applications within PU foams, solvents or heat transfer fluids.

SOLKANE® 365/227 are binary blends of SOLKANE® 365mfc and SOLKANE® 227ea. This blend is the best choice to replace the ozone depleting hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) 141b. The blends are designed for rigid PU foams for insulation purposes, where a non flammable liquid foaming agent with a low thermal conductivity and a high performance foam expansion is needed. With SOLKANE® 365/227 it becomes possible to cover a wide range of temperature insulation. Foams produced with the HFC blend of SOLKANE® 365/227 have a fine cell structure with good insulation properties and have the best compressive strength when compared to other possible hydrocarbon pentane co-blends.
