About the role
Our Internal Communications team, composed of 3 people, is integrated in the Strategic Communications & Content Center department in the Corporate Communications function, and focuses on leading global internal communications strategy and execution in collaboration with Human Resources, Legal, HSE, the Industrial Group, and the Global Business Units.
As a Head of Internal Communication, you will work on developing and executing a comprehensive global internal communications strategy, managing and delivering impactful content and engagement campaigns, and acting as a trusted and strategic business advisor to the executive and global leadership team, to support Solvay’s overall business objectives, mission, vision, and values. You will get the opportunity to contribute to a highly informed and engaged employee base and have a positive impact on employee alignment and engagement across all global, regional, and local locations.
You will be accountable for:
Being the first point of contact and orchestrator for all internal communication matters.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with Solvay’s goals.
Creating and executing change communications to support transformation initiatives.
Ensuring leadership communications align with business priorities in a matrixed organization.
Measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

About you
Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, or a related field.
Relevant work experience in internal communications or a related field with a minimum of 12 years of experience, including 3-5 years in a managing role within a B2B matrixed organization at a global corporate level.

Proven success in developing and executing strategic communications plans on a global, regional, and local scale.
Strong understanding of evolving trends in internal communications, change communications, and employee engagement.

Strong influencing and persuasion skills to gain buy-in for internal communications campaigns.

About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Belgium base pay reasonably expected for this role is 122,640,00€ to 153,300,00€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
