About the role

  • Our North America Logistics Team/Supply Chain Department, composed of over 50 people, is focused on execution of the S&OP process in the NAM (North America) region for Business Unit Peroxide.
  • As a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Planner your main objective is to balance the supply and demand in order to assure supply continuity, whilst ensuring optimized sourcing, distribution and inventories. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the growing Peroxide family and have a positive impact on transformation journey of Solvay.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Lead and Execute S&OP: Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the GBU Peroxides in the NAM region, including conducting monthly Demand Reviews to achieve forecast consensus, managing supply allocation, and optimizing finished goods inventory and total cost to serve.
    • Strategic Planning & Reporting: Lead monthly S&OP Executive meetings for NAM, cascade decisions to stakeholders, monitor operational execution, and provide regular reporting updates (weekly/monthly).
    • Analytical Support & Problem Solving: Lead data collection and analysis for Budget & BFR, conduct ad-hoc business analysis, propose solutions for planning issues, and arbitrate between sales, markets, or customers when local solutions aren't possible.
    • Long-Term Planning & Expertise Development: Establish and manage a 12 to 18-month rolling planning for all Business Lines in the NAM region, develop S&OP subject matter expertise, coach team members, and act as a key user for the new Advanced Planning System (APS).
    • Supply Chain Improvement & Projects: Contribute to the development of the long-term Supply Chain plan, acquire expertise in global supply chain strategies, and lead or contribute to projects aimed at improving Supply Chain Planning processes and procedures.

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent by experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain domain and successful experience in a production or Supply Chain planning position. 
  • Competencies:
    • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining efficiency.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills.
    • IT knowledge (Google Workspace), SAP knowledge, familiarity with an APS tool is a strong asset.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $92,000/yr to $105,000/yr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
