Business Services Front Office Accountant (F/M/X)

About the role

  • Our Accounting team, composed of 10 people, is forming the accounting department of Solvay Sodi AD in Devnya, Bulgaria, and it is integrated into the Global Business Services (GBS) function of Solvay Group.
  • As a Business Services Front Office Accountant, you will work in close relation with the Purchase and Warehouse departments and will be part of the accounting department. The accountant will be in charge of performing daily and periodic postings of business transactions, depending on established procedures and internal rules of the company and will fulfill tasks related to the control of the proper keeping of primary documents, spending cash and material resources.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Process invoices for Accounts Payable in SAP MM/FI following appropriate supporting documentation
    • Scanning and verification of accounting documents via specialized software
    • Investigate and resolve issues with supplier payments
    • Analyzing accounts’ balances related to the income statement and balance sheet
    • Preparing monthly, annual and ad-hoc financial and statistical reports
    • Preparation of VAT returns and other declarations in accordance with local regulations
  • We offer a temporary contract (until the employee on maternity leave returns) based on hybrid (max 3 days/week of home office) working mode.


 
About you

  • Relevant education degree: University degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 2 years accounting experience
  • Competencies:
    • Very good knowledge of Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation - Accounting Act and VAT Act.
    • IFRS knowledge would be considered as an advantage.
    • Good English skills, both verbal and written (minimum level B1)
    • Excellent computer skills, ability to use Gmail and Excel. SAP environment knowledge is a plus.
