About the role

  • Our Maintenance team, composed of 7 people, is integrated in the Chicago Heights Silica site department and focuses on optimizing industrial process control systems in collaboration with production and maintenance teams.

  • As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead the maintenance and capital functions at the site, focusing on equipment reliability, maintenance activities and be responsible for the performance of the department. This position also has oversight of the annual department budget, contractors management and ensuring equipment reliability.

  • You will be accountable for: 

    • Developing, implementing and continually improving maintenance management systems

    • Improving plant reliability

    • Supervising maintenance and reliability engineers

    • Setting safety compliance expectations for maintenance work through effective planning and ensuring no injuries

    • Monitoring and controlling maintenance and department costs

  • We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in chemical or mechanical engineering

  • Relevant work experience in a chemical plant or other related industry in maintenance

  • Competencies:

    • Familiarity with industry standard manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures

    • Understanding and the ability to implement a good maintenance reliability program

    • Ability to define roles and responsibility and hold people accountable to them

  • Behaviors:

    • Strong HS&E leadership

    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills

    • Ability to analyse complex issues, develop and implement clear action plans

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (USA) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 124 000 USD to 155 000 USD, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
