Daniela Manique, President of Solvay Group in Latin America, is awarded as an "Executive of Value"

São Paulo, July 1, 2022 - Daniela Manique, President of Solvay Group in Latin America, was chosen as the best leadership in the Chemical and Petrochemical Sector at the 22nd edition of the Executive of Value Award, held by the newspaper Valor Econômico.

The Executive of Value award was granted to representatives from 19 sectors of the economy and five other categories including social activism, young leadership, digital transformation, chairman of the board, and successful startup.

The process of choosing the best leaders in the country involved this year 15 selection and recruitment companies that are part of the main global association of executive search and leadership development companies - The Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (Aesc).

To be recognized with the title of "Executive of Value," the leadership's performance in managing their companies is taken into account, considering criteria such as identifying opportunities for innovation and growth; the company's market image under the leadership's management; the professional's reputation and rating in the market; and the versatility and adaptability of the executive to sectors and companies. Another relevant criterion is sustainable management, focused on diversity and inclusion and socio-environmental responsibility towards all stakeholders.

Leadership - A native of São Paulo, Daniela Manique has been serving as the President of Solvay Group in Latin America since 2018, combining this role with the direction of the global business unit Coatis, which produces and markets phenol and derivatives, oxygenated solvents, and polyamide and fibers from Brazil.

With a background in chemical engineering and extensive experience in the industry, Daniela Manique is also Vice President of the Board of Directors of Abiquim - Brazilian Chemical Industry Association.

In addition to her pioneering role in promoting the presence of women in leadership in the industry in the region, Daniela Manique has led the company's efforts to advance in competitiveness, innovation, ESG, and corporate social responsibility programs.

She has also led Solvay Group's initiatives in the region to help combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, such as the development in Brazil of a unique antiviral polyamide textile yarn, the production of alcohol for donation to hospitals and various municipal governments, and the donation of food baskets and tons of fabrics for projects aimed at producing social masks, generating additional income for seamstresses.
