About the role

  • Our Maintenance department, composed of over 50 people, is focused on delivering safety and reliability, and regulatory compliance for our manufacturing site.
  • As an Electrical and Instrumentation (I&E) Technician. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and continuous operation of our facility by maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation equipment. You'll be an active participant in safety, crew department, and company meetings.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Installing and maintaining instrumentation and electrical equipment throughout the plant.
    • Working with electrical distribution and control systems.
    • Ensuring the safe and continuous operation of process instrumentation.
    • Reading and writing to understand operator log books, work orders, shop drawings, equipment specifications, and directions, as well as filling out various requests.
    • Analyzing mechanical and operational problems with assigned equipment and conditions, then applying corrective actions.
    • Verbally communicating using the plant paging system and telephone devices, and alerting co-workers to potentially dangerous situations.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

 

About you

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in industrial power control preferred.
  • Skills in distributed control systems are a plus. I&E certification and/or a state of Wyoming Electrician's License is a plus.
  • Competencies:
    • Theoretical and practical maintenance knowledge of 480V, 5kV, 120VAC, and DC control systems, including switchgear, safety devices, motors, and transformers required.
    • Good process instrumentation skills, including knowledge of control circuits, VFDs, and control valves.
    • Must meet all lower-grade maintenance I&E requirements.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $47.00/hr to $49.00/hr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
