Welcome to Solvay in Finland
In 1970 Solvay started to cooperate with some Finnish pulp and paper manufacturers and decided to build a hydrogen peroxide production plant in Voikkaa. The production kicked-off in 1972, with a capacity of 3 500 tons per year.
Ever since, our mission has been to be the customers’ first choice and, with their cooperation to add value to their products.
Solvay Chemicals Finland
Solvay’s hydrogen peroxide production unit at Voikkaa is based on Solvay’s high productivity technology. Today, as authorized by the Finnish Safety and Chemical Agency TUKES, the plant produces 85 Kt of hydrogen peroxide per year, which makes it the largest hydrogen peroxide unit in Finland in terms of capacity and one of the biggest in Europe.

As the leading global producer and supplier of hydrogen peroxide solutions, Solvay’s portfolio boasts some of the purest grades available in the world. In Finland, we provide INTEROX® technical grades in different concentrations, AG Bath 35 and CG 50 grades. In addition, we also supply Peracetic Acid, PROXITANE® 12:20 grade.
