Vanillin & Ethylvanillin pricing

Share to

Princeton, NJ, October 15th, 2019 --- Solvay announced today that it will increase its vanillin and ethyl-vanillin prices produced in its Baton Rouge plant, Louisiana, North America, by 15 percent, as soon as pending contracts allow. The price increases are driven by significant increases of a key raw material, namely Glyoxylic Acid to produce Solvay’s vanillin and ethyl-vanillin. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) restrictions in China and US/Chinese trade tensions are indeed affecting Glyoxilic acid price and availability.

As a key global and responsible player, Solvay is striving to offer a continued high level of quality, services and performance everywhere in the world with the best technology and ecofriendly process.
Solvay sales teams will contact customers directly to discuss supply agreements reflecting the price increases.
